Emma has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 22 years and has led high performing marketing, market access and communications teams.
Her passion for the NHS is infectious and as a result she has delivered some world class programmes, that not only improve lives but improve efficiencies and value to the NHS.
Emma has unrelenting high standards and quality is at the heart of everything that she does and it is no surprise that she has won industry accolades and awards for her work including Marketing Manager of the Year (Pharma Times), numerous Rx Club Awards, and a digital award for innovation in healthcare.
She has delivered Corporate Governance projects, has unrivalled project management skills, and a track record of skilled leadership and management.
Emma is also an Ambassador for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Diabetes, a service reviewer for NHS England, Founder of the NHS Women network and Director of UK Diabetes Network, a group dedicated to building a bridge between the diabetes community and policymakers and MPs.
Caroline has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 2003, holding a number of commercial, Medical and Compliance leadership roles with small, medium and large sized pharmaceutical companies. She has covered a spectrum of prescription medicines from mega brands to products for rare and orphan diseases.
Caroline has a real passion for the pharmaceutical industry, and is driven to secure the best for patients, healthcare professionals and the public. She has championed companies’ commitment to compliance by representing companies at the EFPIA Compliance Committee, participating in working groups run by the ABPI, PMCPA and IPHA, has frequently led syndicate groups for the PMCPA, and has been a member of the IPHA Code Council for over 3 years.
Academically, Caroline holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Molecular & Cellular Biology, a nursing diploma in asthma, and an M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Medicine.
Sarah brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years in the Pharmaceutical industry, having worked with leading Pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer. Sarah has held a range of Leadership, Marketing, Sales and Key Account Management positions.
Sarah is driven by a desire to inspire and encourage others, she is passionate about developing people to be the very best that they can be and brings an infectious energy and brilliant strategic thoughts to every client interaction.
Areas of expertise include Leadership Development, Communication Styles, Mentoring, Coaching Skills, Team Development, KAM models, Culture Change and Change Management.
With over 22 years of experience working in Pharmaceuticals in an array of marketing and commercial roles Alex has led and developed commercial and marketing teams to high performance throughout her successful career.
Alex has great experience working across most NHS areas from CCG led prescribing to Specialised Commissioning and her particular strength is understanding challenges and presenting solutions that deliver impact and results. Alex has significant success in business development, product launch, commercial agreements and Go To Market strategies.
She is a mum of 2 girls and two dogs and her key to life is to keep smiling.
Lucy has over 20 years’ design experience working with both large corporate organisations and smaller groups and clubs. She’s worked on an incredibly diverse range of projects, working alone, as part of a team and, for Johnson & Johnson and Bristol Myers-Squibb, managing a large design team.
She’s worked on everything from comms and collateral, through to branding and exhibitions, bringing drive, passion, innovation and love of creative design to every single project. She’s lead and supported marketing objectives, and has a thorough appreciation of how safeguarding a brand and its vision is fundamental to its continued growth.
She’s lucky enough to think of design as a hobby as much as a job, so no matter what size your design challenge, you can look forward to a warm and friendly approach – and a result that surpasses all of your expectations.
Jen has over 20 years commercial experience in design and creative positions – working both permanently and freelancing for agencies/in-house studios and for the last decade as a self-employed freelance graphic/web designer.
With a strong conceptual background and solid experience developing creative solutions for both online and offline material including; WordPress and HTML websites, logo and branding development, brochures, catalogues, exhibition stands, direct mail, marketing material and packaging design.
Jen has great communication skills and experience within sales, client liaison, account management, as well as being able to interpret a brief and deliver effective solutions. She has superb management of production schedules to produce artwork in a precise and timely manner, ensuring all work is delivered on time and adheres to set brief and guidelines.
As well as helping a number of SMEs; Jen regularly works within the pharmaceutical sector and has provided holiday cover to the Artwork Studio at Teva Pharmaceuticals for a number of years. She has also been commissioned to design illustrations for use in Patient Information Leaflets as well as creating branding and packaging designs for Novartis, Ferring and Ceva Santé Animale.
When it comes to website design, first impressions really do count. Jen has been designing for the web for over 15 years and strives to achieve striking and memorable yet cost effective and user friendly websites. She always has her finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest web design technology and trends, offering clients bespoke designs that will work on all devices and that set them apart from the crowd.
Amy comes with over 10 years of marketing experience built across a range of sectors including travel, lifestyle, fashion and sports. She has managed offline and online marketing strategies to help grow brands and businesses, and has vast experience within digital marketing, including copywriting, email marketing, social media marketing, influencer marketing, content creation [including video], and events marketing.
Amy has a huge interest and passion for travel and exploring new cities, countries and cultures, and has lived abroad for the last few years.
Kerensa has gained 20 years’ experience as an Event Manager working for a wide range of clients including financial organisations and cultural institutions within arts and fashion.
In her previous role of 10 years, Kerensa worked as a Vice President within Corporate Events at Credit Suisse Investment Bank. She managed all aspects of complex global events from idea generation through to successful delivery. Kerensa has experience working on a wide range of projects including global board meetings, investor conferences, client hospitality, sponsorship events and ‘money can’t buy’ experiences for UHNW clients.
Kerensa is highly professional and prides herself on her unflappable nature. She excels at logistics and her attention to detail ensures that events go smoothly from conception to completion. During her career she has successfully dealt with many challenging situations however, she is also well aware that no two events are ever the same.
Janine has extensive marketing and events experience. Starting out in a busy London advertising agency and moving to business publishing she has gained a breadth of knowledge of all aspects of the marketing mix.
From organising large award ceremonies to small stands at industry events, Janine demonstrates superb project management skills and expertise and delivers the ‘sparkle’ at all customer events.
Janine brings great organisational skills to the team through her solid administrative background, whilst ensuring robust attention to detail and excellent customer service on all our deliverables.
Juliette has over 20 years’ experience in medical communications, the NHS and client side in the pharmaceutical industry. Juliette has worked in the medical comms for the past 8 years, on both pre and post marketing authorisation products.Her expertise includes management of national and international symposia, conferences, advisory boards, speaker tours, stand alone events and digital projects and patient materials. Juliette has a breadth of therapy area experience including Nephrology, Oncology, Urology, Neurology (including anxiety, depression, Parkinson’s, schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s), Solid Organ Transplantation, Addiction and Neurological medical devices.Juliette has a passion for delivering excellent quality projects, on time and on budget and delighting her clients throughout the project.
Amanda works as a health and medical education journalist, editor and copywriter. She has worked on projects for pharma, charities and agencies, and has written extensively for patients, healthcare professionals and the general public. Amanda is passionate about patients and improving health systems.
Juliet has over 19 years of experience in writing and editing for the medical communications industry, working with pharmaceutical, academic, and patient organisations. Juliet started her career completing her MA in Natural Sciences, PhD in Cellular Cancer Biology and her personal passion is in elderly care and mental health. Juliet has a vast array of experience within the development of Symposia and Expert Meetings, Education and training materials and Patient and carer resources across a wide range of disease areas previously covered: depression, dementia, oncology, pain, Parkinson’s disease, cardiovascular disorders, addiction, allergy, infection and virology . Juliet is also a writer for the “Talking Newspaper” project and Sporting Memories Foundation (dementia network).
Rebecca has 15 years of experience working in Medical and Scientific Writing and Editorial. She works across a broad range of therapy areas and her many areas of expertise include technical publications, promotional and medical education materials, development of interactive media content, provider-patient communication facilitation, stakeholder mapping and engagement planning. She is a member of the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and is a supporter of patient advocacy and informed choice.
Rebecca is currently working with Grey Bear on a freelance basis. Her other areas of expertise include project management, staff training and development, journalism and copyediting.
Nicola Duckworth, PhD
After completion of her PhD, Nicola began her career in healthcare communications as a medical writer, being involved with the design and delivery of a wealth of projects including manuscripts, slide kits and medical education materials. She was heavily involved in events and meetings work – from advisory boards to satellite symposia – often driving both the content creation and delivery as well as meetings execution, due to her excellent project management and organisational skills. In 2015, Nicola became the Managing Director of the agency where she began her career, and led a team of 90 people delivering award-winning projects for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
During her career, Nicola has worked in the ever-evolving field of diabetes, as well as wound care, ostomy care and mental health. Working predominantly with medical affairs and marketing teams, Nicola also values and fosters long-term relationships with thought-leaders.
After graduating from the University of Warwick with a degree in Sociology, Chloe began her career working at an inner London hospital in a number of areas including cancer services, outpatients and HR. She then spent four years at a medical association in a combined PA, administration and HR role.
In recent years Chloe has worked in the medical/healthcare not for profit sector as an executive assistant, her most recent position being EA to the Executive Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships at Cancer Research UK.
As well as extensive EA experience, Chloe brings a variety of different skills to her role at Grey Bear including event planning, marketing and committee management. She has a passion for delivering a high quality level of support at all times.
