And why ‘Grey Bear’?
This is a question we are often asked!
Not all things are black and white in life. We listen and empathise, we understand and we collaborate finding the optimal blend of skills and insights to deliver result.
A bear is seen as a brave and ambitious animal. We are courageous.
To bear means to carry weight and be strong. We support all our clients and we become part of your team. We care.
To bear is to steer a direction. We build great strategies and plans providing you with the direction you need to succeed.
To bare all shows vulnerability and we believe that authentic vulnerability brings greater connections for leaders and businesses.

I’m a digital marketer with over 18 years of experience leading digital strategy and implementation of enterprise-level projects. I support the execution of bespoke digital initiatives to support client acquisition, conversion and retention programmes.
As a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, I have developed and delivered training solutions across a variety of digital marketing disciplines.
I believe it’s critical for any digital initiative, whether across social media, content, display advertising or SEO, to align with a brand’s wider marketing strategy. I love to get to the heart of a client’s digital challenges and deliver a strategy that is effective for their needs – ensuing only the most relevant digital channels are used.
Outside of work you can find me in the kitchen knocking up a mean Thai Massaman Curry and partaking in the odd gin tasting. I also like to let loose at my local boxing club!
If I were a bear I’d be Paddington Bear as I like to keep things under my hat in case of emergencies!
I have had held a number of roles within communications and have experience in a range of sectors including corporate, not-for-profit and the arts.
Over the years I’ve specialised in social media marketing and copywriting, helping companies to develop their brands and tell their stories effectively.
We know that people absorb information optimally through a narrative, and that’s why we prize our ability to bring this out of your organisation, telling your brand stories effectively and creatively.
I enjoy reading and talking as much as I love writing.
If I were a bear I would be a koala bear, because I love eating, being around trees and sleeping!

After finishing my PhD in pharmacology, I began my career in healthcare communications as a medical writer. I was involved in the design and delivery of various projects including manuscripts, slide kits and medical education materials.
I’ve been heavily involved in events and meetings work – from advisory boards to satellite symposia – often driving both the content creation and delivery as well as meetings execution, combining scientific expertise with project management and organisational skills.
In 2015, I became the Managing Director of the agency I started out from, leading a team of 90 people delivering award-winning projects for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
Over the course of my career I’ve worked in the field of diabetes, wound care, ostomy care and mental health.
Having worked with predominantly medical affairs and marketing teams over the years, I hugely value and foster long-term relationships with thought-leaders.
Outside of work I enjoying running and reading (not at the same time), and open-water swimming.____
If I was a bear I would be a sun bear____ because they like honey (me too), and are fairly reclusive (like the introvert in me)!
I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 22 years across sales, marketing and communications, and have been part of some of the largest blockbuster product launches over the years.
I have a huge passion for the NHS which I am told is infectious and as a result have been instrumental and a leader for some world class medical education programmes, that not only improve lives but improve efficiencies and value to the NHS.
I am a bit of a geek around behavioural change, behavioural economics and the neurosciences behind how we communicate and am constantly learning and bringing new ideas into the team and to our clients on future communication strategies.
I have unrelenting high standards and quality is at the heart of everything that I have built Grey Bear around. When we say we deliver the best service we have operationalised the business to deliver this. Over the years this has been evidenced by some of the awards I have won including Marketing Manager of the Year (Pharma Times), numerous Rx Club Awards, and a digital award for innovation in healthcare. Its always awkward talking about your successes but quality really is everything we do.
My communications work has led me to become an Ambassador for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Diabetes, a service reviewer for NHS England, an an expert patient for Women’s Health.
As a strong leader I have also championed improved female leadership within the NHS through my social network “Women in Health”, a network of senior leaders within the NHS.
When I am not working you can find me moonlighting as a taxi driver for my 11 year old daughter.
If I were a bear, I would be Winnie the Pooh who famously said “You’re braver than you believe, and stronger and smarter than you think.”
